Look Both Ways

Beams of light intensify during the night. Their directional flow makes the mundane kaleidoscope like a Cairo carnival glow. The metal rims of the bicycle wheels hoist colors of light as an upright Ferris wheel. The amusement keeps rotating high up and low down. A sight to behold. Look both ways before you cross the street especially when your bicycle is loaded down with metallic cooking oil cans. Reflective. Secured to the back of the bicycle while being transported. Depth charges are going off as the enemy taunts every hour. Ready to devour. Yet, “deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls.” I see the call signs. The signs call me to worship the image of the invisible God. A meditative sea fills the frame with the wet wash of visible lumens’ spills. The action continues to crash against the curbs like coastlines. Where is the light and rush coming from? Look both ways. Light edged in amazing grace making way forward in the maze of the metropolis. Amazement is the mindset. Dots of light connect in groups of four in the imposing administrative building. “Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”
